Detailed Features
Alerkan Spirometer Filters are electret filters that use constant electrostatic charges transcending traditional mechanical block mechanisms in order to prevent the particles, bacterias, and viruses appeared through blown air. Spirometer filters’ required features - vital characteristics including high efficiency, low resistence, and high charge - which spirometer test filters already have, are important to prevent infection and contamination. Moreover, these features are crucial to get an accurate test result that becomes vital for the filters (i.e., spirometer filters) that have small filtration space.
Alerkan Spirometer Filters supply more effective filtration and more accurate test results through high efficiency and low resistance. Combination of electrets and open-structure provides high efficiency and low resistance. Low resistance makes higher flow rate possible that boosts the test result’s accuracy.
Electrostatic Chargeability is the most significant point regarding the filter’s performance. Permanently charged fibers block more submicron particles than traditional medias. 3M™ filtration media which is a unique part of our products, is delicately made of permanently charged fibers - machined - that have open and standardized tissue feature. Charged fibers makes it possible for the media to block particles through the depth of filter rather than preventing the particles from the surface only. High charge helps to prevent particles from breaking free and spreading around during appliance and filter change.

General Technical Information
The resistance level except the acceptable level of filter pad resistance, is minimized by the custom-engineered filter chamber. The input and output parts of filtering chamber have a slope that provides easier air-flow. A more efficient filtering performance is achieved since the air-flow meets with minimum resistance. Moreover, filtration takes place in a larger surface that enhances the efficiency of filtering activity as well. The 2 plastic pieces of filtering chamber, are welded to have a single part by using the high-tech ultrasonic welding machine. Therefore, the risks of pressure loss and chemical glue are eliminated during air-flow. Also, the exterior surface of chamber’s mouthpiece has a quite rough design - to prevent slipperiness and stickiness - in an ergonomic way for being able to make the test easier.
Each one of 2 surfaces of the disc shaped 3M™ filter media centered on filtering chamber, covered by an exclusive web layer and their sides are closed through the ultrasonic sewing method. Therefore, the risk of release of fibers - constituents of filter media - is eliminated that it is not possible for the fibers to move towards the patients. Also, the filter’s custom-engineered structure totally prevents the pass of liquid particles through blown air during test by constructing a set against liquid particles.
All of the inputs utilized in manufacture are supplied by prestigious companies (e.g., 3M™).
